Kendall Gammon is a proud Kansan whose journey has taken him from the small town of Rose Hill to the heights of professional football and beyond. After captaining Pittsburg State University’s national championship team in 1991, Kendall was drafted into the NFL, where he enjoyed a remarkable 15-year career with the Steelers, Saints, and Chiefs. A Super Bowl participant and Pro Bowl selection, he was known for his steadiness and resilience—qualities that defined both his play and his character.
Following his retirement, Kendall continued to inspire others through broadcasting, serving 12 years on the Kansas City Chiefs Radio Network and calling their Super Bowl LIV victory. Today, he is an author, motivational speaker, and Chief Development Officer of War Horses for Veterans, a nonprofit that helps military veterans heal through equine experiences.
Kendall’s passion now extends far beyond the field. He speaks nationwide about gratitude, emotional communication, and the importance of mental and emotional resilience—messages that resonate deeply in today’s world. His belief that true strength lies not only in physical performance but in the courage to seek help, connect, and grow makes him a powerful advocate for mental health.
As we gather Under the Wide Prairie Sky, Prairie Sky Counseling Center is honored to welcome Kendall as our keynote speaker, inviting us all to embrace resilience, connection, and hope for the future.
